Supplies Needed
You will need the following supplies:
- Graduation banner (download link is available at the bottom of the post).
- Printer (print at home or at your local print shop).
- White printer paper or preferably cardstock.
- Scissors or a paper cutter.
- Ribbon, string, or baker’s twine.
- Hole punch.
- Tape (optional).
How to make the banner
Follow the steps below to make the banner:
Step 1: Decide on what you want to spell and print out the required pages on white cardstock.
Step 2: Cut out the banner flags along the grey lines with a pair of scissors or use a paper cutter.
Step 3: Using a hole punch, punch holes in the top corners of each banner.
Step 4: Cut a piece of ribbon and string the flags on. You can use tape to secure the letters in place, so they don’t slide around the string.

Print on standard 8.5″×11″ paper (US Letter). To print on A4 paper select “Fit to page” in your printer settings.
