Supplies Needed

You will need the following supplies:

    • Halloween placemat (download link is available at the bottom of the post).
    • Printer (print at home or at your local print shop).
    • White printer paper or preferably cardstock.
    • Pen.
    • Colored pencils.

What is included in the Halloween placemat

Word search

The goal of the game is to find the words from the word bank in the letter grid. There are 9 Halloween-related words:

  1. Bat
  2. Broom
  3. Candle
  4. Pumpkin
  5. Scary
  6. Skeleton
  7. Spider
  8. Treat
  9. Trick

Words are hidden horizontally, vertically, and diagonally (forward, or backward). Some words may share letters with another word.

Word scramble

This word scramble features 6 Halloween words, but the letters are jumbled up. Players will need to rearrange the letters to spell out the words correctly.

I spy

Kids will need to find and count how many candy there are on the page.

Maze

Players will need to find their way through the maze. The arrows mark the start and finish.



Draw pumpkin faces

There are four pumpkin outlines and kids will need to draw a face on each one.

Coloring

There are Halloween pictures for kids to color in, such as a witch hat and a broom, a bat, a bottle with poison, a full moon with clouds, and various candy.

Download the PDF file and print it at home or at your local print shop.

Print on standard 8.5″×11″ paper (US Letter). To print on A4 paper select “Fit to page” in your printer settings.

To make the page more durable print on thicker paper or cardstock. You can also laminate the page if you plan to use it more than once. Enjoy!
